In our preparation course for the Medical Language Examination, we optimally prepare you for everyday work in German clinics. We support you in bringing your German skills to C1 level, learning specialist vocabulary and strengthening your intercultural competence in the work context.

Our course structure - practice-oriented and efficient

Our course is divided into four coordinated modules that are tailored to your needs:

Module 1: Working in the hospital (80 UE)

Get to know the basic forms of interaction, rules of conduct, the German health system, hierarchies and structures in German hospitals, as well as the insurance system in Germany.
Module 2: Medical Language (160 UE)

Gain sound knowledge in technical vocabulary, medical terminology, anamnesis, doctor-patient communication, documentation, clinical pharmacology, legal basics, professional ethics, hygiene and infection prevention, emergency management, first aid and pathophysiology.
Module 3: Intercultural Competence (40 UE)

Develop your intercultural skills to understand cultural differences and values, master communication styles and conflict management, work effectively in intercultural teams and deal with stereotypes and discrimination.
Module 4: Practice-oriented Exercises and Simulations (40 UE)

Through role-plays, case studies, work materials and conversation simulations, you will gain practical experiences and specifically prepare for the language examination.

Duration of the measure and further information:

Target group: Foreign doctors who are in the process of recognizing their foreign university degree in order to obtain the license in Germany.

Duration: 320 teaching units (UE), 8 weeks, ongoing entry possible

The contents of the measure are conveyed as an interactive online course. A loan device incl. internet access is provided if necessary.

The costs for the measure are covered 100% by the Employment Agency or the Job Center.

The aim of the measure is to bring closer to the training and job market as well as the determination, reduction or elimination of placement obstacles (§ 45 para. 1 sentence 1 no. 1 SGB III)

Preparation for the Professional Language Examination in Medicine for international doctors

The recognition process for foreign doctors who want to obtain their license in Germany is an important step to become active in the medical field in Germany. Recognition of foreign doctors is carried out by responsible recognition authorities, such as the Münster district government for licensing and the North Rhine Medical Association for the language examination.

To prepare yourself optimally for the Professional Language Examination in Medicine, we offer a special preparatory course for international doctors. This course supports the participants in professional recognition in medicine and specifically prepares them for the examination simulation of the language examination. The examination takes place, among other places, in Düsseldorf.

Our preparatory course includes intensive training in medical German and the conveyance of communication skills in a medical context. The participants are optimally prepared for the requirements of the language examination so that they receive the recognition notice after successfully passing the examination and thus can achieve their professional recognition in medicine in Germany.

The course focuses on the essential aspects of the language examination and helps the participants to gain a sound understanding of the medical professional language in German. Through practical examination simulations, the participants are familiarized with the requirements of the language examination.

The goal of the preparatory course is to optimally prepare the participants for the Professional Language Examination in Medicine so that they can successfully pass the examination and receive the recognition notice necessary for professional recognition in medicine in Germany.
